The Parlor Brand name is derived from a play off of our founders name, Paula Campbell- award wining singer, actress and author.

Along with an infamous nursery rhyme her great-grandmother sang to her as a toddler.

The line that stuck out to the then three-year-old child was “The QUEEN was in the Parlor eating bread and honey.”

When young Paula asked what a parlor was, Her great-grandmother Lily replied, “It’s the place where the Queen has all her pretty clothes and she gets to do whatever she imagines.”

And just like that, Paula imagined her musical career and being on stage, she pictured herself on the big screens and on television.

And of course she saw herself in mountains of clothing for the many occasions she would surely be included in. Its was a mind-festival with all sorts of wonderful wear!
